East Ottertail Insurance Agency began in 1982 as a multi-peril crop insurance company. The early 80's were stricken with drought and the crop insurance business grew by leaps and bounds. The owner, LuAnn Carow had first hand knowledge of farm insurance policies from working with her father-in-law, Art Carow in his property/casualty insurance agency.
Within a few years, Art retired and LuAnn purchased the agency from him. Personal auto insurance carriers were brought on board, which completed the full service agency for our rural customers. As the businesses of our customers grew, worker's compensation and commercial policies were available.
The generation of the Carow family was welcomed into the EOT agency. Art's granddaughter, Alisyn Keil joined LuAnn in 2004. We are now offering all lines of property and casualty coverage, including farm, home, personal auto, truck, commercial, worker's compensation, inland marine and umbrella policies.
